Holy Scrutiny, Batman! They’re Monitoring Our Moods!

Check out Alan Pearcy’s post, Researchers track Twitter to learn when Americans are happiest at The Ragan.com blog, PR Junkie.

Alan shares some information from a minute-by-minute study of the nation’s tweets over the last three years. Let me just repeat that last bit: a minute-by-minute study of the nation’s tweets over the last three years.

The study was conducted by researchers from Northeastern University and Harvard University, who monitored how and when the moods of Twitter users changed throughout the days of the week. I’m sure some people are debating the usefulness and accuracy of this research. Not me. I’m just gobsmacked that this study exists. Rock on, researchers!

Thanks to my pal, Kevin Grossman, for turning me onto Alan’s post.
